Bath to Bristol walk for Meningitis UK
PEOPLE from across Bristol are being encouraged to put on their walking boots to help raise cash for Meningitis UK.
One of the South West's biggest annual charity fundraisers, the Bath to Bristol Summer Stroll, takes place on Saturday, June 20.
About 200 people are expected to take part and all money raised will go towards the charity's Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign.
Organiser Paul Hobbs said: "This year's Summer Stroll promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
"Last year was such a great day, with hundreds of people helping to raise £24,000, which is quite remarkable.
"Everyone's welcome to sign up for what should be another fantastic occasion."
The 14-mile stroll starts at Bath City Football Club's Twerton Park Stadium at 10am, followed by a stop at the Crown pub in Saltford, then heading to the Paintworks in Brislington for lunch, along to the Welshback in the centre, before finishing up with a meal at Ashton Gate Stadium at about 5pm.
The event is sponsored by Gadd Homes, DAS, Mercedes Benz of Bath and Bristol and Greenpark Publishing.
