Barwood's hopes dashed after bad three-hole run
Three poor holes in the final round cost Knowle's Hannah Barwood the chance of winning the English strokeplay championship at Enmore Park.
"I hit a bad drive on the 11th hole and that cost two shots," she said.

"I then bogeyed the next two holes and my chance had gone."
She was momentarily at the top of the leaderboard before those lapses and eventually settled for 76 and sixth place.
County colleague Charlotte Ellis (Minchinhampton) came even closer and shared second one stroke behind Charlotte Wild (Mere).
Ellis and Barwood won the under-23 county team trophy for the second successive year with an aggregate score in the first two rounds of 295.
Home member Hannah Grant carded the low score of the week, a three-under par 69 in the final round.
After the championship Barwood and Ellis were picked for the Home International championship at Irvine, Scotland, on September 9-11.
They made their debuts last year when England finished half a point behind Wales as runners-up.
Barwood revealed that before the championship she had visited her coach Laurence Farmer at Moor Park to make a couple of swing changes.
She hopes these will help her at the British Amateur Championship at Royal Aberdeen next week and in the European Championships in Sweden that follow.
