Bands, rap artists and other musicians from across Bristol have taken a first step on a road that could lead to Glastonbury.

They took part in two heats at the weekend in the Live and Unsigned contest hosted by Avon and Somerset police.

Bristol contestants competed at the Trinity Centre in Trinity Road today and South Gloucestershire and Bath & North East Somerset hopefuls performed at the theatre at Filton College's Wise campus in New Road, Stoke Gifford.

The winners of the contest final at Colston Hall will win a gig at the Glastonbury Festival.
