BNP activist released on bail
British National Party activist Clive Courtney has been released on bail following his arrest on suspicion of assaulting his wife.
Avon and Somerset police have not charged the 55-year-old, who has run for council seats and Parliament, but are continuing their inquiries into the allegations that he harmed his wife Julie, who is deaf.

Mr Courtney was arrested on Wednesday night following a disturbance at the family home on Hillcrest, Pensford.
He has previously stood unsuccessfully to become the MP for Weston-super-Mare and a councillor on Bristol City and Bath and North East Somerset councils.
