Avonmouth denied victory in Bristol & Suburban League
Avonmouth took their unbeaten run to three games in Premier I of the Bristol & Suburban League, but they were denied a third successive victory after Scott Pearce equalised from the penalty spot for Ashton United in an exciting 3-3 draw.
Ash Bennett, Luke Harmer and Simon Westland were on target for Avonmouth, with Lee Venn and Steve Tarrant scoring Ashton's other goals.
Southmead CS Athletic lost for the first time this season, going down 2-0 at home to Cadbury Heath Reserves. Sasha Tong scored both goals from breakaways in the first half.
Mark Kibby gave Fishponds OB a first-half lead at top-of-the-table CTK Southside but top scorer James Donegan struck twice in the last 10 minutes to give his team a six-point cushion over their nearest rivals.
A 65th-minute volley from Chris Davey gave South Glos (Hambrook) a deserved victory at Stoke Gifford United, while Nick Stewart scored a consolation goal for Glenside Five OB, who lost 3-1 at home to St Aldhelms.
Old Georgians bounced back from defeat the previous week to win 4 2 at Broad Plain House thanks to Alex Bateman, Iboo Sarr, Molomi Bakota and Ron Hanin.
The top two teams in Premier II both won. A Scott Cole strike gave leaders Lockleaze a 1-0 home victory over Bristol Telephones, while Bristol Athletic kept the pressure on by winning 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Brislington A.
Dan Dorrington celebrated his birthday with a hat-trick for Athletic. Shar Bharkerd was their other scorer, while Shaun White netted all three goals for plucky Brislington.
St Aldhelms Reserves moved into third place by defeating Bristol North West 5-1 at home with goals from Mike Bamfield (2), Glen Mitchell, Cameron Jacobs and Julian Thomas.
Lee Roberts's double and a Chris Ford strike gave Almondsbury UWE Reserves their first victory of the season – 3-2 at home to Little Stoke – while Dan Lancastle and Luke Fry were on target for Severn Beach, 2-1 home winners against Wessex Wanderers.
Ashley Tarr scored the only goal to clinch Lawrence Weston's first win of the season and leave Tytherington Rocks Reserves rooted to the foot of the table.
Ridings High pipped Whitchurch 4-3 thanks to goals from Tom Bernard (2), Matt Woodman and Kerry Duggan.
Division I leaders Imperial Saints trounced second-placed Broad Plain House Reserves 10-2 to open a six-point lead at the top. New signing Mitch Purnell led the scoring with four goals, with John Daniells (2), Danny Goulding, Ben Griffiths, Lee John and Tom Phillips completing the rout.
Ridings High Reserves and Easton Cowboys both won away to stay third and fourth respectively. Ridings scraped in 2-1 at Filton Athletic, whose scorer was Mark Loftu, while Easton Cowboys won 5-2 at Keynsham Town A.
Chris Kilbane (2) and Adrian Miclaus were the Ashton Rangers marksmen in a 4-3 home defeat by Totterdown POB.
Bristol Telephones Reserves were a minute away from their first point of the season when Steve Hayes scored to give Old Cothamians a 2-1 win at Stockwood. Nick Brown hit Cothamians' first goal, with Ben Smith equalsing for Phones.
Dylan Harrison and Ian McNally struck for Rockleaze Avonside Reserves, 2-1 winners against Hengrove Athletic.
One point separates the top three in Division II, with leaders Ingleside beating Downend Foresters 3-1 thanks to Lewis Perryman (2) and Sam Randall.
Ben Fry (2), Ben Roe, Danny Glancey shot second-placed Southmead CS Athletic Reserves to a 4-1 win over Little Stoke Reserves 4 1, while Thrissell Nomads pipped Tyndalls Park Rangers 1-0 at Canford Park.
Mark Lippiatt scored all five goals for Cadbury Heath A in a 5-3 victory over Corinthian Sports, who replied through Mike Holloway (2) and John Davies.
The Clemmings family shared five goals as CTK Southside Reserves won 6-1 at St Aldhelms A, with Jamie scoring a hat-trick and Justin on target twice.
Jay Pitman (2), Jack Fillingham, Lee Pitman and Ben Gilbert were on the mark for Cartwheel Sports, 5-2 winners at Oldbury Crusaders, whose scorers were Josh Reed and Alex Ackerman.
Mo Carraway (4) and Ross Wolsey (3) led the scoring for Mangotsfield United A, who hammered Almondsbury UWE A 11-1. Dean Channel, Russ Milkins, Ross Williams and goalkeeper Dan Jones completed the rout.
Scott and Shane Budding were among the goals for Division III leaders Bristol County, who won 3-1 against Broad Plain House A at Filton.
Ashton United Reserves edged out Lockleaze Reserves 2-1 thanks to Ryan Dadds and an own goal, despite playing most of the game with only 10 men . Lee Morse scored for Lockleaze.
Dave Brain, Danny Day and Ryan Spencer all netted twice for BW Athletic, 7-0 winners at Old Cothamians Reserves, while Anton Dowe and Luke Green earned Old Georgians a 2-2 draw with Severn Beach Reserves.
Six teams are within two points of each other at the top of Division IV. Matt Walsh and Dave Jenkins scored for Brandon TT Sports, who toppled leaders Oldbury Crusaders Reserves 2-1.
Second-placed Spartans beat Ridings High A 5-1 thanks to Craig Hill (2), Gary Derrick (2) and Russell Hemmings, while St Anne's Town are still unbeaten after winning 3-0 at third-placed Lawrence Weston Reserves.
Wanderers beat Wessex Wanderers Reserves 6-0, Avonmouth A overcame South Glos (Hambrook) Reserves 5-2 thanks to Adam Randall (2), Luke Iles, Tom Pavey and Rob Lee, and Jason Brown and Martin Madams shot Emersons Green to a 2-1 win over Coupland Insulation, who replied through Richard Davies' 30-yard free-kick.
In Division V, Jason Manning set a Fishponds OB's record by scoring in his seventh successive game in a 3-1 victory over Parson Street OB Reserves. Lee Taylor and player-manager Aidie Hill were also on target.
