TOM Lloyd smashed six goals as Hanham Athletic Youth A maintained their position at the head of Under-14s Division II with a 9-0 demolition of Fry's at Vicarage Road.

Hanham were the stronger side throughout and but for an excellent series of saves from the opposition keeper the score could have been more severe.

Nial Bray, Mitch Allward and Callum Clarke joined Lloyd on the scoresheet, while excellent performances by 'Toddy' Shaw, Kieran Crew, Adam Walsh and the other defenders ensured Hanham kept their third successive clean sheet in the league. They haved conceded only two goals all season.

Goalkeeper Dale Hill was the hero for Henbury Colts as they grabbed a dramatic 2-2 away draw with Stoke Lane Athletic A in Under-15s Division I.

Henbury snatched the lead on eight minutes of a topsy-turvy tussle when Joseph Hicks fired into the net from inside the box.

But they came under considerable pressure from Stoke Lane after that and it took three excellent saves from Hill to keep the home side out.

The second half was a more open affair with Stoke Lane equalising 10 minutes into the half when Callum Brown headed in a Jordan James free-kick. Then the tricky Jordan James crossed for Elliott Mason to volley in Stoke Lane's second goal.

It looked all over for Henbury when they conceded a penalty, but Hill made a superb save from Tauren Williams before clutching hold of the resulting corner.

His ensuing clearance found the head of Luke Lockyer, who flicked the ball on for Jack Mills to slide home Henbury's equaliser.

Bitton claimed the bragging rights as they overcame local rivals Keynsham Town A 6-2 in their Under-13s Division I derby.

They took a 2-1 half-time lead through Adam Mahmood's two opportunistic goals before Lewis Sealy pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Bitton were the more organised of the teams in the second half and a third Mahmood goal, together with a Jack Reece-Jones hat-trick, secured victory before Chris Courtney replied for Town with a late consolation.

Avon Athletic B won the battle of the two newly-promoted teams in Under-13s Division II by beating Oldland Abbotonians 4-2.

The home side's midfield worked effectively as a unit with Alex Miners standing out in his defensive role.

On the occasions when Oldland did break through, Josh Evans and Ciaran Furzland's good marking limited their chances.

Avon took advantage of their superior possession by going into half-time 2-0 up with goals from Dan Davison and Rory Langdon.

Connor Matthews scored their third just after the break but Oldland produced a spirited fightback and netted twice in the last 10 minutes through Mitchell Tomlin and Jason Granville.

As Avon struggled to cope with Oldland's attack, Isaac Smith sprung to their rescue with a fine individual goal in the final minute to settle the outcome and maintain Avon's winning start to the season.

Rockleaze Rangers continued their 100 per cent winning start to the Under-13s Division IV season with a comfortable 8-1 win over Bristol Phoenix.

Harry Persad scored after two minutes with a good finish before Ollie Lock's brace and an own goal gave them a 4-0 lead.

Jack Rugman's strike just before half-time reduced the arrears to 4-1 but any hopes of a Phoenix comeback were dashed as Rockleaze continued to dominate in the second half.

Jack Welch netted with a header and Persad, Ollie Lloyd and Welch again completed the scoring.

Reece Coleman in the Phoenix goal produced some superb saves and clearances to ensure the goals-against tally did not increase.
