Ashton Boys Under-15s preserved their 100 per cent record in Division A with a comprehensive 6-2 victory over Stoke Lane – their second defeat of the season.

The Ashton midfield dominated, never allowing Stoke Lane a foothold in the game. And it was no surprise when Daniel Crawford-Reid put them ahead with an excellent goal

Ross Higginson grabbed Ashton's second goal to send them into the break 2-0 ahead.

Stoke Lane pulled one back early into the second half, but Ashton replied immediately with two quick goals from Sean Byrne, who went on to complete his hat-trick before Crawford-Reid netted his second goal to make it 6-1.

There was still time for Stoke Lane to score again with a good run and finish from Josh Cann.

Southmead Community Sport Under-12s had to overcome a fighting performance from a depleted Shire Colts B to beat them 4-3.

Shire were only able to field 10 players but their fight and determination more than made up for the missing man, although Southmead's attacking play proved the difference and the scoreline could have been a lot greater in this Divison Five tussle.

Southmead scored first in the second minute when good build-up play led to Josh Small powering his finish into the top corner.

Shire replied when Marley Bates showed a good turn of pace to equalise, only for Southmead to respond 10 minutes later through Robbie Rimmer, who almost netted his second goal soon after from Doug Spinks' low cross, his effort striking a post.

Again Shire hit back with another ball over the top which Conner Williams-Hicks latched on to before planting it past keeper Ricki Pierce for their equaliser.

Then, against the run of play, they snatched the lead for the first time as another punt forward ended with Williams-Hicks lobbing Pierce to hand them a 3-2 interval advantage.

Southmead started the second half in lively mood and, led by their tenacious star man Connor Trump at the back, they fought back with goals from Spinks, who had previously squandered a great chance from two yards out, and Rimmer again, courtesy of Ashley Hayes' perfect pass, to ensure a deserved victory for their team.

Coalpit Heath B Under-12s got into the festive spirit by scoring seven goals without reply against a determined Bishport side.

Heath only had a Max Southway effort to show for their first-half dominance but came up with six more goals after the break in a one-sided Division Four clash.

Conor Heal used his pace and strength to burst through the hosts' defence and twice fire into the bottom corner, while man-of-the-match Ashton Coleman used plenty of skill to dribble into the penalty area and smash home two stunning strikes.

Sam Cope then put Hayden Watkins through on goal for Heath's sixth goal.

And, after more pressure, Watkins was on hand to tap the ball over the line after Bradley Simons' shot had beaten the Bishport goalkeeper.
