Police are hunting a man who attempted to sexually assaulted a woman at a block of flats in Lawrence Weston.

The 20-year-old victim went to the flats in Henarce Road to look for a friend.

A man opened a communal door for the woman and he said he would take her to him, but once inside he pushed her against the wall and attempted to sexually assault her.

She was able to push the man away and escape.

The incident happened between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday, January 28.

The offender is described as a white man, about six foot tall, in his 20s, with brown eyes, a long thin face and scruffy dark-brown hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
