A mother was assaulted while taking her baby out in a push chair in Bristol.

The incident took place at about 6.50pm on in Sturminster Road, Stockwood.

The woman was confronted and assaulted by a man between the junctions with Dutton Road and Hooper Road.

She was not injured and he ran off in the direction of Craydon Road.

He is described as white, about 6ft, wearing a black woollen balaclava pulled down over his eyes, a black, waist-length, zip-up leather jacket and light blue jeans.

Avon and Somerset police are appealing for witnesses.
