Asphalt plant to close amid firm's cuts across country
AN asphalt plant near Thornbury is to close down.
Building materials company Hanson UK said it was not yet known whether the two people based at the Tytherington site would lose their jobs or be employed elsewhere within the company.
The closure was part of national cutbacks which will cost a total of 250 jobs, announced yesterday. Hanson-owned sites in Chipping Sodbury are unaffected.
