Ashton Girls Under-13s maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 5-1 win over Bitton.

Germaine Clayton-Clarke opened the scoring early into the first half but Bitton soon drew level through Grace Kenway-Greatorex.

Ashton went into the break 2-1 up following a determined run and left-footed strike from Becca Parnham, which gave them heart to grab more goals through Clayton-Clarke, who netted her second after the interval, while Lois Moran continued her goal-a-game strike rate within a minute of coming off the subs bench, racing almost half the length of the pitch to slot home from ten yards.

Zoe Dodge finished the scoring by pouncing on a loose ball inside the six-yard box.

Ashton's Rochelle Jennings marked her debut between the sticks with a number of fine stops and Lauren Smart was their player of the match following a commanding display in midfield.

A last-minute Taylor Gainey penalty was all that separated the league's top two teams as Portishead Juniors Under-13s pipped Winscombe 3-2.

At first Juniors threatened to overrun their opponents, whose goalkeeper Talulah Wheeler was in inspired form.

However, they took a deserved lead following a mazy run from Maisie Kincaid, who drew Wheeler out before finding an unmarked Annabele Colston to roll the ball into an empty net.

Colston made it 2-0 shortly on the stroke of half-time with a fierce strike before Winscombe staged a dramatic recovery.

They pulled one back soon into the second half before restoring parity.

The visitors' joy was short-lived as a handling offence in the final minute presented Gainey with the chance to smash home Portishead's winner from the spot and send them to the top of the table.

A hat-trick apiece from Katie Johns and Kerry Ballard helped Ashton Girls Under-15s to an 8-0 win over Wotton Rovers. Further goals from Emma Keal and Chloe Dymond sealed a fine win.

Caitlyn Preston's strike proved the difference as St Nicholas Under-10s edged their top-of-the-table clash with AEK Boco by a solitary goal.

A fast and furious fixture was settled midway through the first half when Preston pounced to win Saints the game.

Their defence had to work hard, however, to preserve their lead during a committed and gritty second half from both teams.

Player of the match Sophie Press had an excellent game in a defensive midfield position, helping to ensure Saints kept their unbeaten run intact.

Frampton Rangers Under-11s gave it their all before bowing to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Portishead Juniors.

After starting brightly and squandering gilt-edged goalscoring opportunities, Frampton fell behind to a good Chelsea Hill strike courtesy of a fine pass from their star player Kyla Probert.

Hariye Beydilli pulled off a fine save to prevent the visitors doubling their advantage, while at the other end, Frampton almost equalised through Lauren Penny and twice went close from free-kicks. Chloe Fuller and Maddison Buss were both denied by great saves too from inspired Portishead goalkeeper Aimee Morgan.

At the back, Rosie Williams and Ellie Todd had fine games for Frampton, while Annie Lewis, Paige Botta, Buss, Fuller and Penny all showed well in midfield and attack.

As for Portishead, whose Rhea Hall and Izzy Batchelor worked tirelessly in midfield and defenders Rosie Collings and Eloise Hubbard performed determinedly in defence, they are unbeaten in their opening four games and looking in good shape.

Bristol Ladies Union A Under-11s notched up another fine win with a 2-1 victory over battling AEK Boco.

An early goal from Lizzie Burton set Union on their way, but Boco fought back to equalise via a swift counter attack.

Union were not finished and Briony Wills capped another excellent all-round display with a cool finish from Eloise Quinlan's set-up in the second half to win them the game.

Good performances from Rosanna Boxall, who was always dangerous on the right wing, and Anna Hubble, who put in some crunching tackles in defence, ensured Boco were kept at bay.

Frampton Rangers B Under-11s gained their first victory of the season in beating a determined Ashton side 4-0 with goals from Rebecca Walding, Lily Martin, Charlotte Purdom and an own goal.

Good performances from Morgan Scantlebury, Molly Harris, Charlotte Daly, Verity Lowe and Martha Howells helped see Frampton home.
