Ashley Giles puts his opponents in a spin with star performance
Evening Post star man: Ashley Giles produced a magnificent performance in the centre of midfield for Stoke Bishop, as they came out 2-0 victors over Durdham Down Adult School.
Giles ran the game, he was Stoke Bishop's most creative player and was at the centre of everything. He scored his side's second goal, which effectively ended the match.

The goal came late in the game. Dean Ashfield played a wonderful cross from the left wing which found Giles at the back post. Giles headed the ball powerfully into the back of the net.
The most impressive aspect of Giles' game was his ability to run with the ball at pace. He showed terrific close control, never letting the ball leave his feet. This ability, combined with his pace, meant that he was a threat.
He used his dribbling ability to great effect when he made a good run from midfield beating a couple of opponents, before sliding a clever ball down the side to striker Matt Greenslade, who pulled his shot wide of goal.
As well as being an offensive threat, Giles did not neglect his defensive duties. He got stuck in and never pulled out of a tackle. His heading was also superb. For a short man he has a good spring and won the vast majority of his headers.
Stoke Bishop manager Tony Berry said: "He's a quality player. He's been injured a lot of this season, and we've missed him. He works very hard."
Giles said: "It was a bit of a weird game. It was a strong performance from us and it brings us closer to promotion."
Giles was the most impressive player on the pitch, proving to be a goal threat as well a strong defensive performer. He certainly had the School defence in a spin.
