Green extended their lead with goals from Kelly Preston and Jenna Geuley. But, despite the uphill battle, Ashton never gave up and put in a strong performance.
Green made it 4-0 when a through ball from Caitlin Saunders found Lucy Werrett and she lifted the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.
Ashton were finally rewarded for their efforts with a consolation goal.
AEK Boco Under-15s clinched a deserved 1-0 away win over Stoke Lane.
Julia Farrell and Abigail Nicholas posed plenty of problems for Stoke's defence and it was Farrell who skipped past several players to fire the winner just before half-time.
Lane pressed hard for an equaliser in the second period, but Boco goalkeeper Sophie Zahringer produced several excellent saves, while Georgie Folley thwarted a good run from a Stoke forward to ensure the win.
Thornbury Falcons Under-12s recorded their first win in six games with a 3-1 victory over hard-working AEK Boco B.
Despite dominating the first half with excellent passing, Falcons failed to take their opportunities and the first half ended without a goal.
Boco created a few chances at the start of the second period and it took a fantastic save from home keeper Mary Ridge to keep them out. In doing so Ridge injured herself and had to be replaced by Immi Pearce.
Thornbury took the lead through Rebecca Lane, who beat the Boco keeper with a great strike.
A speculative effort from the visitors produced the equaliser. But two late goals in five minutes sealed victory for Falcons.
A superb strike by leading scorer Steph Bradley, and captain Charlotte Dukes' excellent header from a corner sealed the win, aided by a terrific debut by Katie Kopera in midfield.
Wotton Rovers Under-12s stole the honours with a 3-2 victory over Southmead in a thriller.
Southmead took an early lead when the ball squirmed between the Wotton keeper and the post.
Just before half-time, Wotton levelled when Rosanna Blacker's angled shot found the net.
In the second half, Southmead struck from a corner to reclaim the lead. But Lois Iddles scrambled the ball over the line to level and Blacker netted Wotton's winner two minutes from time.
Another hat-trick for Annabelle Colston was the platform for Portishead Juniors A Under-12s' 5-0 victory over Bristol Ladies.
The striker scored her first with a rasping effort from outside the penalty box and, shortly afterwards, poked the ball home following a goalmouth scramble.
At the other end, team captain Eleanor Grey was again commanding in defence and was supported well by Erica Marshall in front of goalkeeper Alice Pritchard.
Portishead increased their lead after the break through Jennie Mistry, who struck a low shot from distance through a crowd of players.
From midfield the home team's player-of-the-match Leanne Gainey, Abbie Taylor and Maisie Kincaid created further chances and it was a quick corner routine, involving the latter, that allowed Colston to complete her hat-trick with a low drive. Taylor Gainey added the fifth goal.
There was delight, too, for Portishead Juniors B Under-12s as they pipped Ashton Girls B 2-1.
Striker Charlotte Joyner had several attempts at goal in the first half but was denied by the post and good goalkeeping, before Casey Dodd edged the home team in front with a well-struck shot.
Player-of-the-match Megan Hudson ran from the halfway line and scored Portishead's second with a low shot. Ashton reduced the deficit with a deserved consolation.
Backwell Athletic Under-12s had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Mangotsfield. After taking an early lead when Amy Hynam outpaced the visitors' defence, they were stunned by two well-taken goals from a determined Mangotsfield outfit.
Backwell's pressure was finally rewarded with an equaliser when Hynam struck her second goal through a crowded penalty area.
Portishead Juniors Under-10s rallied well after conceding two early goals against AEK Boco A thanks to player-of-the-match Izzy Batchelor's inspired display.
However, despite Aimee Morgan, Chelsea Hill and Emily Dickens working tirelessly up front, they could not break down Boco's strong defence and eventually fell to a 3-0 defeat.
Frampton Rangers Under-10s A team produced a magnificent passing performance to beat AEK Boco B 4-0. Jess Jefferies and Lauren Penny scored two apiece.
Frampton Rangers B Under-10s showed great determination before losing 2-0 to a strong St Nicholas team in an entertaining game.
