Art fans can't get enough of Banksy
There were still queues snaking down Queen's Road on the third day of the Banksy exhibition at the City Museum and Art Gallery.
The museum was visited by 5,460 people yesterday from across Bristol and the UK, with last entry at 4pm and a closing time of 5pm.
The normal attendance for a typical Monday in June is about 1,200.
The international media are now getting wind of Banksy's elaborate return to his home town. Museum press officer Claire Royall gave a tour to a German journalist yesterday and is being interviewed by a Dutch journalist today.
Mrs Royall has also fielded calls from newspapers and television stations worldwide.
She said: "I didn't think today would be as popular as it was, but it will probably be like this for the next couple of weeks.
"It's been so busy.
"People were queuing when I arrived at work at 10am and it was like that the whole day. It was incredible.
"We have had National Gallery exhibitions here before and they are busy, but none of us has ever experienced people queuing out of the door."

“Travelled down from Watford just to see the exhibition on monday, got there about 11.15am queue wait was already nearly 4 hours. Decided to stay over and start queuing at 7.15am tuesday morning (was 30th in queue)
Spent just over 2 hours viewing the exhibits and have got to say it was well worth the effort and the additional expence of staying over. Would recommend this exhibition to all. It certainally is a different take on life and really gets you thinking. Well done Bristol Museum”
