Arrest following four-car smash in Weston
A man from Weston-super-Mare has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving after a four-car smash in the town.
Police arrested the 18-year-old man who was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa after it collided with a blue Honda Civic, a dark blue BMW and black Peugeot 307.
As a result the driver of the BMW suffered minor head injuries and the passenger in the Vauxhall was taken to Weston General Hospital with concussion and whiplash injuries.
All four vehicles involved were badly damaged from the crash.
The incident happened on the A371 Locking Moor Road on Sunday evening.
Police say the Vauxhall Corsa and blue Honda Civic were driving out of Banwell village towards Weston when they collided with the BMW and Peugeot 307 travelling in the opposite direction.
The Corsa driver has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
And they are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
