"There are such a wide variety of skills required from stitching and operating machinery to customer care."
South Gloucestershire & Stroud College offered the qualifications after working closely with the Multi-Service Association, ABC Awards and Skillset.
According to Can Do 4 You, the pair are already showing their potential.
Chloe is increasingly taking more responsibility and is often responsible for the operation within the shop in Taunton, the firm says, while Josh is becoming a very accomplished craftsman and is developing advanced skills in stitching and footwear repair.
Tom Beasley, director of business development at the college, said: "This has been an exciting project for us, working in a sector that last trained apprentices twenty five years ago.
"It's great to see how apprentices can so positively impact a business and what they can achieve with the right employer."
