Police are asking witnesses to a car crash on Feeder Road that left two people in hospital to come forward.

Two young women had to be cut free from their car after the smash at about 3pm on Wednesday.

They were in a black Citroen C1 that was in a head-on collision with a Ford Transit van near the Hills Delivery haulage company.

The driver of the Citroen suffered a suspected broken pelvis and her passenger a suspected spinal injury. Both are in their late teens or early 20s, and were taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The van driver, a man in his late 30s, suffered minor injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 3.07pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision, involving a Citroen car and a Ford Transit.

"Two people were taken to hospital, the injuries aren't thought to be life threatening or life changing."
