Appeal over Bristol bikes theft
Bristol civil servant David Ryan has appealed for the return of his two mountain bikes, which were stolen from his garage in Berry Lane, Horfield.
The 41-year-old said his Orange P7 Pro, worth £1,500, and Dawes single-speed bike, worth £400, were taken between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Mr Ryan, who has an insurance policy covering his home contents, said both bikes were black and the Orange model had pannier racks attached to it and front suspension. He said: "I think there was a chap lurking around the area as I was putting my bike into the garage on Tuesday night. I have reported him to the police.
He added: "Without the bikes, I've got no other form of transport because I don't drive.
"I use my bikes for commuting to work, fitness, getting to the gym – everything."
Mr Ryan is now appealing for anyone with any information about his bikes to please contact the police.
