Anti-apartheid campaign marks centenary at Hall
A MEETING to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the African liberation movement is to be held at Colston Hall on Tuesday, July 10 at 7.30pm.
The anti-apartheid movement had strong support in Bristol and organisers are planning to celebrate its conception with a host of other campaign pressure groups.
The meeting is being organised by Bristol ACTSA (Action for Southern Africa), the successor organisation to the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
Dave Spurgeon, chair, Bristol ACTSA, said: "This meeting looks at the power of international solidarity and links current campaigns where people in Bristol are supporting people in struggles in different parts of the world."
