FORMER Tory MP Ann Widdecombe visited Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm to help launch its elephant sanctuary.

Miss Widdecombe fed tigers and met staff at the Wraxall attraction, and dug the first turf of a pond which will form part of the new site. After several years of research and after planning permission was received in 2010, the farm is beginning development of what they describe as a “revolutionary” 15-acre elephant sanctuary to be called Elephant Eden.

It will include the largest indoor elephant house in Europe, and is being designed to deal with health issues faced by elephants in other captive environments. Building is planned to begin in 2012.

“I thought they were shut down for breeding tigers for the circus. Not content with terrifying and enslaving mankind to monopolise power and profit,(Thomas Payne on religion) they want to enslave and terrify tigers as well.”

“Whilst they still have nothing better to explain the origins the origins of the universe and it's whereabouts other than some magical 'BIG BANG' theory; evolution or creationism together with a belief in a God, serves this Earth's populous far better than the barbarity we are continually having to witness now when there is none.

If any readers does find out, please let the Editor know would you? . I'm dying to know!”

“Doesn't exposing an innocent tiger to Ann Widdecombe open this animal show to further charges of cruelty? What has the poor tiger done to deserve that?”

“nogbutt, if you had ever been to this place you would know just how good it is. Unlike the zoo which tries to palm off kids enthusiasm with insects and flowers, this place has all the animals they love to imitate. They also have loads of other well thought out entertainment ideas and for us it was the best family day out in a long time.

The creationism thing is a bit weird but on our visit I only noticed it once, on a poster in the main barn building. They hardly seemed as though they were trying to recruit followers or whatever strange conspiracy theory you're suggesting.”
