Ankle break in Gorge
A MAN was rescued after breaking his ankle climbing in the Avon Gorge.
The 29-year-old injured himself after falling on the rocks at after 5pm on Thursday and was left 30ft up from the base of the cliff. Firefighters lowered a stretcher from the top of the gorge at Circular Road before lowering the man to the bottom, where he was taken to hospital.
