This is an exciting time for Wellsway sixth form with the opening of a new sixth form study centre and the introduction of a revised system of support and guidance.
Our commitment is quite simply to provide the best sixth form education possible. Our Ofsted inspection in December 2007 confirmed our success and strongly praised the outstanding nature of our sixth form.

Through investing in new accommodation we are providing our students with an architect designed, state-of- the-art study centre that takes into account different learning styles and preferences. We are also investing in our support and guidance structure and have developed an innovative new role of personal tutor. The personal tutors are experienced and successful A-level teachers who work closely with each student to monitor and support their learning and progress.
Our curriculum provides a wide range of A-level courses and a number of GCSE options, such as Spanish. We are looking to diversify the curriculum and, for September 2009, we will be introducing a number of vocational options.
We put great emphasis on progression and run a full programme of support to help students choose what they want to do after they have completed their time in the sixth form, whether that is moving into higher education or employment. Each year, the vast majority of students who apply to university successfully gain places in the institution of their choice, including at Oxford and Cambridge.
Wellsway sixth form open evening is on Wednesday October from, 6-8pm.
