THE city's Harbourside is set to be transformed for a spooky Halloween festival.

The Bristol Day of the Dead Festival will bring together a host of activities and performances in the aim of raising money for charity.

Taking a lead from the Day of the Dead festivals in Mexico, the event will host an array of stalls and stages as Halloween is celebrated in Bristol style.

Organisers have booked salsa and flamenco performances, mariachi bands and there will even be a zombie roller disco. Visitors can also expect regular Halloween activities like apple bobbing, pumpkin carving competitions and fancy dress.

The event is set to culminate with a spectacular waterfront fireworks display.

There will also be special children's fire and light display in the early evening for the younger audience as well as a few waterfront surprises only viewable from inside the amphitheatre.

Advance tickets are on sale now from £8 from the Bristol Ticket Shop. Family tickets are available at £30 with free entry for under-fives.
