Academy's counting on team to win
A TEAM of four maths whiz-kids from Winterbourne International Academy are preparing to be tested in a competition for some of the brightest students in the UK.
The pupils will head for London next week for the national final of the UK Mathematics Trust Team Challenge.

It is run to allow gifted and talented youngsters from all schools and colleges in the country to pit their wits against each other in a series of maths-based puzzles.
Winterbourne's team of Michael Hickman and Chris Shrine, both 14, and 13-year-olds Liam Green and Xinyu Shen secured their place in the final by winning the Bristol round in April, when they beat competition from 20 other teams. The Year 8 and 9 pupils will be accompanied by teacher Julie Gray when they travel to the Royal Horticultural Halls in the capital on Monday.
She said: "The students are all very focussed and did extremely well to win the Bristol regional final against some tough competition. We are excited about the national final and looking forward to the challenge."
