AEK Boco Under-15s brushed aside the challenge of Abbeymead Rovers by sweeping to a splendid 4-1 victory.

They attacked Abbeymead from the off, forcing their keeper into making some excellent saves, Abbey Nicholas opened the scoring on 30 minutes with a well-placed shot before Aleisha Chapman struck the second from a corner.

Abbeymead started the second half well but fine defending from Georgina Foley and Mollie White thwarted their advances.

Boco sealed the success with Julia Farrell and Nicholas both netting in the second half before their opponents grabbed a late consolation.

Keynsham Town Under-14s saw their local derby with Longwell Green brought forward from a scheduled January encounter – and responded accordingly.

They took the lead with a cracking Georgia Lee goal and forged further in front via Amy Lovell's second-half penalty.

A mix-up between goalkeeper Bethany Jones and one of her team-mates led to Longwell pulling one back but a cracking Lovell strike sealed a 3-1 success.

Backwell Athletic Under-14s overcame visitors Ashton Girls 2-0 in an important top-of-the-table clash.

They got off to a great start with an early goal from Mollie Webb after good work by Bethan Wakefield.

Backwell dominated play down the flanks with Beth McLoughlin and Ellie Campbell cutting through. The away side struggled in vein to break down the well-drilled Athletic defence of Jess Byron-Dyer, Emily Rees, Kim Jarrett, Katie Hickling and Lauren McLoughlin, while their impressive midfield engine of Val Statham-Sprod and Bex Holloway kept Backwell on top.

It was no surprise when Holloway scored a clinical goal to seal a victory.

Portishead Juniors A Under-12s were given a tough test by a resolute Bristol Ladies Union A side before coming through 8-3 victors.

Having trailed to a deserved Union goal, Portishead equalised through Annabelle Colston following a rehearsed short-corner move with player-of-the-match Maisie Kincaid.

Colston then fired her side in front from a goalmouth scramble, but Bristol Ladies refused to lie down and equalised themselves.

The introduction of striker Taylor Gainey turned the game back towards Portishead as she scored her team's third with a left-foot shot from distance before setting up her strike partner Colston to complete her hat-trick before half-time.

Both teams then exchanged own goals before Colston notched her fourth after an individual run from halfway.

Midfielder Jennie Mistry capped another fine performance with a well-taken goal under pressure before Gainey notched her brace to wrap-up the goals glut.

Two superb strikes by Amy Hynam inside the first 15 minutes were enough to give Backwell Athletic Under-12s a 2-0 away victory over Mangotsfield Girls.

Hynam's first came when she latched on to a superb through ball from Emma Bridgeman and outpaced the defence before finishing powerfully. This was followed by an even more spectacular effort when she unleashed an unstoppable drive in to the top corner.

Backwell continued to create chances with fine approach play but could not add to their tally.

In the second half, with Ele Moss outstanding in defence and keeper Kathryn Howells commanding her area, Athletic made sure there was no way back for the home team.

Brislington C Under-11s surged to the top of the table with a 5-1 home victory over local rivals Keynsham.

Harriett Gillard put the hosts one up before half-time but Lillie Baker, Pheobe Sherbourne and keeper Gabriella Wootten all had to be on their toes to protect the slender lead.

Brislington finally pulled away after the break with Jess Werrett and Mille Robinson each scoring twice.

Keynsham's Sydney Marshall scored a last-minute goal for them.

In-form Bitton Under-11s continued their winning streak by securing a 3-0 victory over brave Brislington B.

Captain Courtney Smith sent them into the interval two goals to the good with Sarah Underhill scoring Bitton's third goal in the second half to cap an excellent performance, in which keeper Melissa Skuse and left-back Emma Karon were outstanding.

Strike duo Sophie Allen and Mia Williams continued their rich vein of form with two fantastic strikes to give in-form Brislington A Under-11s another well-earned win away to a hard-working Ashton B team.

After lots of early attacking pressure from Brislington, Allen scored with a crisp strike to give the visitors the lead at the break.

Williams netted from wide on the right with an explosive drive into the far corner of the net.

Ashton got a goal back to make it an exciting last five minutes but Brislington held on.

Saint Nicholas made it a perfect seven wins out of seven with a stunning 7-1 triumph over Cheltenham Town in the Gloucestershire County Girls League.

The first was a fine effort by Amy Ford, Megan Bloomer then chipped in with her first goal, before going on to register a hat-trick to take her tally for the season to 19.

Cheltenham were completely overrun and a neat header by Jess Wilson, a cool finish from Ruby Bagge and a perfectly executed penalty by Sophie Sweet completed the rout.
