2,334 sign e-petition to reduce prices on Bristol buses
More than 2,000 people have signed an e-petition to the government to get prices on First buses in Bristol reduced.
The petition calls on the Department of Transport to take action and was set up last month by Daniel Farr. A total of 2,334 have signed it in four weeks.
It states: "The prices of First group's bus tickets in Bristol and the quality of their service do not match up.
"Their fares are the most expensive outside of London, but yet their buses are unreliable and often late.

"Local government does nothing to improve the service or lower the prices so we call on the government to force First to reduce their charges."
Mr Farr told This is Bristol: "I'm hoping to get a substantial number of signatures and maybe present it to the Mayor George Ferguson; then put pressure on people to try to get First to do something to make their buses more affordable."
No-one at First was available for comment today.
