13-year-old boy killed in road crash
A 13-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a car in Wedmore, near Cheddar in Somerset.
The accident happened at about 8am today on the B3151.
A Citroen Saxo was travelling towards Glastonbury when it hit the 13-year-old lad, who was walking along the road.
He was taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath by air ambulance but he died from his injuries.
The youngster was named on Wednesday night as Elliot Davies, who lived in the village of Wedmore.
Police issued an appeal for witnesses.
