2.[THEATRE/COMEDY] Thurs 19-28: A Curious Evening Of Trance And Rap With The Ogden Sisters, The Tobacco Factory Theatre

Prepare to be entertained by this story of three sisters who duped the world into thinking they could talk to the dead. Written by Smack the Pony writer Nick Whitby and Kyla Goodey, the show is a comedy about the origins of the spiritualist world. It is set in 1892 and the world famous Ogden sisters invite you to their table as they voyage through the ethereal regions. 3. [FOOD & DRINK] Sat 21: Wild Brew Workshop with Andy Hamilton, Windmill Hill City Farm

Join Andy Hamilton, author of "Booze for Free"and "The Selfsufficientish Bible", BBC Autumnwatch's Forager and all round nice bloke as he teaches you how to make booze for free - well how to make alcohol cheaply. The course is aimed at novices or beginners. From liquors, to beer to wines Andy will take you through them all in a good-humoured manner, answering questions as he goes along. If the weather permits there will also be an opportunity to nip out and pick some herbs to make traditional ales. 10am-3pm, £35. Education Room as Windmill Hill City Farm. 4. [FAMILY] Sat 21: Minature railway, Ashton Court

Why not take the kids for a fun day out at Ashton Court this weekend. At 12pm-5.15pm a miniature railway will be running train rides on two tracks for all the family to enjoy. 5. [THEATRE] Mon 23-29: Spamalot, Bristol Hippodrome

Award-winning Monty Python’s Spamalot is back in Bristol following a staggering UK tour in 2010. Winner of Tony Award for Best Musical, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and features a bevy (or possibly a brace) of beautiful show girls, witch burnings (cancelled due to health and safety) not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people. The show features fantastic tunes more magical than a Camelot convention, including He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights of the Round Table, Find Your Grail and of course the Nation’s Favourite Comedy Song (Reader’s Digest Poll 2010) Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. 6. [MUSIC] Sat 21: Metropolis Present: Juan Zelada, Louisiana

Fancy a night of great music then head along to the Louisiana to hear Spanish singer/songwriter Juan Zelada in action. Zelada came to the UK with just his guitar on his back and his enigmatic talent but he has quickly become one of the most talked about names on the scene and has enjoyed slots touring with the likes of Amy Winehouse as well as writing sessions with members of Duran Duran. The multi-talented pianist, guitarist and songwriter has also been awarded a prize for songwriting by legendary songsmith Paul McCartney. With his monthly residency (featuring his show stopping 6-piece band) at The Troubadour in Earls Court frequently packed to the rafters with dancing, you are sure to be in for a good night. 7.{MUSIC] Fri 20: Fastest to Canada, Colston Hall

If you want to start the weekend with some folk rock then pop along to the Colston Hall after work on Friday. Bristol-based folk rock band Fastest to Canada are giving a free performance in the Colston Hall Foyer space at 6pm. Free entry.

8. [FAMILY] Until Sun22: Golden Egg Hunt, Bristol Zoo Gardens

There are still a few days left for children to join in the Golden Egg Hunt at Bristol Zoo. Spend the day looking at the animals, enjoying the grounds and spotting the 10 golden eggs hidden around the zoo. Children who complete the trail will receive a tasty treat.

9.[HEALTH] From Thurs 19: Bristol Weight Loss Challenge's in your area

10. [Food and Drink] Weds 25: Eat Drink Bristol Fashion, Queen Square

From Wednesday until May 7, Queen Square will become a ‘tented village’ that is to play host to chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants. The village will include a dining area which will seat 100 people, a champagne bar and an area with a series of art installations. Visit the Champagne & Wine Bar from 10am to 12 midnight (1am on weekends). The bar has free entry and no reservation policy – and enjoy local bands and DJs, while being served British tapas throughout the day. There will be a different resident restaurant each evening with adult tickets costing from £20- £55, children £10.
