Entries flooding in for Bristol shopping competition

The competition to win a £1,000 shopping spree in Bristol's Broadmead has already attracted all sorts of entries from Bristol Post readers.

People have shared happy memories of working and shopping there, others have praised Broadmead's recent transformation into what one entrant described as a cosmopolitan place to match any shopping area in Britain.

The £1,000 shopping spree is part of celebrations to mark the completion of Broadmead's £11 million facelift.

To enter, all you have to do is let us know why you love Broadmead.

The winner and a friend will enjoy a memorable day out, which will include:

£800 of Broadmead shopping vouchers;

£200 of Debenhams vouchers;

Being chauffeured to and from Broadmead in a white stretch limousine from The Limo People, who will also be providing a bottle of bubbly;

Full English breakfast at Debenhams;

A guided tour by Broadmead manager John Hirst of the extensive improvements, which include new paving, street furniture and upgraded shopfronts;

Coffee and pastries at Cafe Amore;

Free time to visit shops in Broadmead;

Lunch at Italian restaurant Bottelinos;

A facial and a makeover from one of Debenham's resident make-up artists, and advice from the store's personal shopper.

The £1,000 Broadmead shopping spree will take place on Friday, February 13. The prize is part of the We Love Broadmead celebrations that will take place on Valentine's Day to mark the official launch of the improvements in Broadmead.

The winner will be the entry considered to be most deserving by a judging panel from the Bristol Post and Broadmead. The winner must be available to spend a day at Broadmead on Friday, February 13.

There will also be special Valentine's goodie bags for four runners-up,

All entries are eligible to be featured on the We Love Broadmead display that will be part of events taking place in Broadmead on Valentine's Day.
